What Losing Weight Will Teach You About Your Darkest Secrets

We all lie to ourselves, even if pretend like we don't.

Making up excuses or blaming others for our problems is an unfortunate phenomenon called Denial.

Denial is something we love and loathe, seeing as it allows us to feel pockets of happiness, followed by hours of despair.

But what happens when we reject denial?

It’s the first step you must perform if you’re going to achieve anything substantial in life.

Right before I went on the life-changing journey that took me from 240 pounds to 180 in the span of a year, I took the obligation to take control of my life.

If I could give you the most important lesson from my journey, it’d be this: Throughout your adventure (whether that be weight loss or whatever else), you’re going to have to face your deepest fears and the colossal lies you’ve told yourself.

All those pesky problems that you pushed to the back of your head will rear their ugly faces for your judgment. It’s important that not only do you acknowledge them, you take them in stride.

When you take responsibility and own those drawbacks, you’ll have full authority over what direction your journey will take you.

And when you take control of one problem, you’ll be astonished at just how much control you have in your life.

“He’s right. I’m going to make a change! Tomorrow, of course, I have stuff to do.” -Something that you probably thought or said out loud.

Don’t fall into that mouse-trap. Take action as early as you can. In an hour, in 10 minutes. Hell even in the next 5 seconds!

The sooner you get over that inner voice that keeps you from reaching your potential, the quicker you’ll become what you’ve always meant to be; a hell of a person.

Thanks for reading, now go out there and make a change in your life!

Be sure to drop some claps and respond with a time you got over a hump in your life. I’ll be sure to respond. :)
